I’m giving away another book from my personal collection (you’ll really want this one), but this contest has a twist: I will be tweeting clues about the book over the next week (or until someone wins). It’s spring cleaning time, and that means less stuff for me and more stuff for you. First up, Victoria Wedding Cakes by Kathleen Hackett from my personal collection. It travelled to California with me from New York, losing its book jacket in the move, and it’s time it found a new home.

I’ve also been looking for a reason to use the random number generator I saw on another blog, and this is the perfect opportunity.

Fondant + Contest = Fontest!

Yup, we’re having a fontest. And we have five pounds of fondant to give away to boot. We are in the process of testing four major brands of fondant to determine which tastes and performs best. Before we post our results, we want to hear from you. Anyone who works with fondant–from passionate beginners to seasoned professionals–is welcome to weigh in. Simply let us know your favorite brand of fondant and why you prefer it over the others by Friday, November 6th. We will randomly select one entry to win five pounds of fondant.
