In this course, students learn the basic tools and techniques needed for realistic edible sugar flowers and leaves. The four basic flower methods used for all flowers–single cut, shaped, layered, and wired–are taught. Students will cut, vein, shape, and color their flowers. Other essentials, such as steaming and assembling, are also covered. Students make jasmine, buds, a small rose, and leaves to take home. Gumpaste recipe demonstration is provided. Limited to eight students.
